1. Open Start.

2. Search for Task Manager and click the top result to open the experience.

3. Click on the Performance tab.
4. Select the Memory section from the left pane.

5. See the Slots used section, at the bottom of the page, to confirm the number of slots available on your motherboard.

Once you complete the steps, you'll be able to determine if you can add more memory to your computer, or if you need to replace the memory kit with one with higher capacity per module to increase the available memory.
